Meet John Ferguson

John founded Property Potential Co after seeing the same gap again and again in real estate: property owners getting great planning advice, or great market advice — but never both together.

He holds a Bachelor of Urban and Environmental Planning and is a licensed real estate agent, with experience spanning strategic planning, advisory roles and real estate. That combination shaped his core belief: the best property decisions happen when planning and value are considered together, not separately.

Growing up in rural Queensland and working across regional Queensland, North Queensland and the Sunshine Coast taught John that every property has a story — shaped by its planning, location and community. With family ties spanning generations across Maleny, Nambour and Coolum, his knowledge of the Sunshine Coast is personal, not just professional.

John's approach is simple: property owners don't need more jargon, they need clear insight that supports a real decision. That belief shapes every Property Potential Check and Report — helping owners understand their property's potential, so they can make better property decisions before making bigger ones.
